This sequel is the last one in the series of the Highlander adventures. It deals with another MacLeod who crossed his path with Connor. In the focus of the story is Duncan MacLeod, who was born in 1592 in the same village as Connor, in Glenfinnan in Scotland. As he was still young, he was stabbed to death by his villagers in 1622. But, on the surprise of everyone, even himself, he was alive and brought back to life shortly after his death. After concluding the same thing as with Connor, that he had some business with the devil, they banished Duncan from the clan as well. Until he actually met legendary Connor, Duncan thought he was the only one and had no answers. And after meeting him, he got all his questions answered and he got lots of useful tips and tricks, as well as swordsman training. Now, he lives in the present and is about to fight a whole bunch of Immortals who all want the same thing- mortality. Also, there is a legend that tells the story about the Time Of Gathering- the specific moment in time, when, if there are only two Immortals left, their fight will be the last one, because after that, there will be no Immortal left at all and the whole energy will be transferred into one who is left. In the end, there can be only one.
