Meet Charlie and Annie. They are a young happy couple who lives in Milton, California. They enjoy in spending the time together, waking up by each others side and all of that. Soon, their lives are about to change, but they don't know it yet. It all starts as we see that Annie is going to get fired from her current job, which is a professor at a community college. But, as one window closes the other one opens and in the next moment she is already chasing after a job at UCLA. The only problem is, that the job is in Los Angeles, and her boyfriend Charlie turns out to be in a Witness Protection Program and he shouldn't come back in LA. But, as the story goes on, he decides to break the rules and go to LA. As you can already imagine, his comeback to Los Angeles gets to his both friends and ex-friends. And as they get a visit from his old friends, who ended up in jail after their last bank robbery, Annie gets to find out the truth about him and see what kind of life he used to have. It turns out that he wasn't a robber, but a getaway driver, who was in charge of getting them out of the scene of crime. Since all the money left in his car, his ex friends are looking for him and their part of the deal.
