Two friends Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman) and Dale Arbus (Charlie Day) hate their bosses who spoil their lives. Working at a financial company Nick is working hard to get vice-president place, but his emotionally-abusive boss Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey), manipulates him telling of his possible promotion and then just takes it to himself. Dale is sick and tired of his sexually obsessed boss, Dr. Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston), who wants to get a sexual contact with him at any price, even showing false photos showing they had sex to Dale’s fiancée (Lindsay Sloane). Nick and Dale’s common friend Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis) likes working with his boss and convinces guys that life is not bad, but he loses his temper when his boss dies and his place is taken by his son Bobby (Colin Farrell), amoral drug user. One night at the bar, drinking, the three come to conclusion that discharge is not a way out and decide to get rid of their bosses killing them. They find a ‘murder consultant” to make the deaths of their bosses look like an accident. They make up a very smart plan of how to get rid of their horrible bosses once and forever. One problem arises: the solidity of even the most well thought-out plans is directly proportional to ‘brilliance’ of its creators…
