How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of the shortest movies that you can see. It is only 26 minutes long and it dates back to 1966. The IMDb rating of 8.4 shows that people are more than thrilled and that they have loved watching it, or still do. The directors are Chuck Jones and Ben Washam, with the help of writers Dr. Seuss (book) and Irv Spector. We can begin describing what this movie is all about by saying that Grinch is actually a mean-spirited person who is trying to make everyone feel bad, and, obviously, he decides to steal Christmas. He disguised as Santa Claus. The fact that he is irritated that everyone is having fun celebrating Christmas and that is what he wants to spoil. His dog even looks like a reindeer in order to make it look more convincing. After stealing everything that he can in connection to Christmas, he leaves the village sad behind and that was his goal the whole time. Boris Karloff is the narrator and the voice of the Grinch and he has done a great job, lending him his voice. The How the Grinch Stole Christmas! movie wouldn't be the same without him, that is for sure.

I really liked this movie. Jim Carrey was just excellent as the Grinch. I do not know anyone else who could have done this roll. The scenery was really cool. It really put me in the Christmas mood. Ron Howard did such a good job directing this movie. There are only a few good cartoon based movies out there. Like The Flintstones, Dudley Doo Right, and George of the Jungle. I really do not have anything bad to say about the movie. The movie had a real magical atmosphere to it. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves the Grinch, and likes a good family movie.

I am not sure where to start with this movie. I just didn't care for it too much. First of all, the character of the Grinch. Many stories featuring him display him as pure evil, in this movie; he was far from that, he was more eccentric than anything else, and just plain weird. And why did Cindy Lou become such a central character in the story? Also, she look like she was much older than two, and above all the ending was way too corny.
