What is the movie Island about?
The story of the movie Island is based on Jane Roger’s novel with the same name. The story centers at Nikki Black who was abandoned at her birth and who spent her life moving from one foster home to another. At the age of 29 she decides to find her biological mother and … kill her. She gets on a distant Hebridean island where her mom lives. Nikki enters her mother’s place incognito and her plans are confused when she finds out she has a brother – Calum. Her mom leads a witchlike life and has a strange relationship with her son. Some weeks spent together with Calum and his dangerous love, strange nature, and their common hobby of telling the island stories transforms Nikki’s life… her desire for murder just grows day by day, turning into paranoia…
