What is the movie iSteve about?
Straight from the poster you can see that “iSteve” is not a serious movie. It is parody on biography of Steve Jobs. Undoubtedly Steve Jobs left his mark in human history in many ways. Opinions are split but if you have opinion about the man, you know of him. This movie is more comedy than biography. People who like historically accurate movies should skip this title. Many facts are twisted and Steve gets credit for things that he didn’t do. Ryan Perez, the director and one of the writers, gave credit for designing Apple 1 and 2. Actually Wozniak designed them and Steve had the great vision. So in a way they took credit from Steve for having visions. Devil is in details, and this detail is huge. Also Jef Raskin designed Mack. In “iSteve“ he got credit for that, too. Story falsely involves the Commodore as a company in the plot. Some claims about Amiga are also not accurate. It is funny and educational. Justin Long got job to act Steve Jobs. He did a good job. He had his moments and did what director asked for. Acid trip of Jobs was unconvincing and unrealistic. Sex scene was a huge surprise. It is at the same time shocking, funny and kinky. It is one of the geek sex scene. If you are looking for something funny and little bit educational “iSteve” movie is movie for you. Just don’t take it too serious.
