James Burns is a teenager who goes to prison and gets surrounded by criminals. This is his story. Actually, a story about him is based on true events and turned into a movie by Trevor White as a director and Lane Shadgett- screenplay along with Trevor White. It is a story about an awkward friendship between a young boy and a murderer, who soon becomes his guide through life. Young boy was selling guns and drugs and couldn't be enrolled in school due to his violent behavior, although his mother, Tracy, played by Mary-Louise Parker tried to help him. Once he goes to prison things start changing for him through poetry and learning what responsibility, regret and friendship mean. In a very unusual surroundings for that, a young gang member starts changing for better. James Burns was played by Spencer Lofranco, with Taissa Farmiga by his side as Sarah and James Woods as Lt Falton. It is not unusual, although it is rare for a person surrounded by convicted murderers to start thinking of very important life issues and question his decisions, while still being a teenager. For this guy, it worked out through a very tensed set of various circumstances. We all love stories about bad guys turning into good guys and trying to make their lives different from what they could be or would be if things were different for them. Is this one of those stories? Is James's hope for the better future just a dream or it could actually change his life?
