For all fans of crime thriller comes an amazing piece written by Tracy Letts and directed by William Friedkin. With duration a little over 100 minutes, this movie will keep you on the edge of your seats for the whole time. The plot revolves around a guy called Chris Smith (Emile Hirsch), who is in his 20s and is a drug dealer. He lives in a trailer in Texas along with his low-life father Ansel (Thomas Haden Church) and stepmother Sharla (Gina Gershon) and his younger mentally disabled sister Dottie (Juno Temple). After getting himself into some massive debts with another local drug dealer, Chris gets the idea to kill his mother and collect the 50 000 dollars she has on insurance policy. And Chris gets his hands on some information that a man called Killer Joe is doing the job well. As the story goes on, we see that Killer Joe is actually a dirty cop, Joe Cooper (Matthew McConaughey),who is taking some jobs on the side, being an assassin for some extra cash. Since they don't have the money to give him in advance, Joe gets to spend some time with Chris's sister Dottie. Soon, Joe finds himself falling for Dottie and the whole operation is unexpectedly going a lot more different than it was supposed to.
