What is the movie Killing Bono about?

The movie is based on a real story. The Dublin teenager that is rock mad Neil McCormick grows up with Paul Hewson, who in the future will become the legendary Bono. When Hewson is creating his band he wants Neil’s brother Ivan to take part in their group as he is a very talented guitarist. Neil decides to ruin his plans by creating his own rock band with his brother. Paul Hewson’s rock band U2, very soon becomes the world famous band, while Irish McCormick brothers’ band remains inconspicuous. On the background of famous U2 band they have no chances. Neil is very jealous to his former classmate and angry at himself for stopping his brother from global fame...

I really enjoyed this movie. I had so much fun watching it and I found it simply fantastic!!! I have not read the book, but I totally loved the story. I assume that the film didn’t follow the book very well by the reviews that I read on the web. The movie itself was so enjoyable, that I don't really care however, I am interested in reading this book now...
