I haven’t been at the cinema for almost three years, as it was very difficult for me to do it with a little child, and that is why i was very happy to finally go to the cinema, and this was exactly the movie i went to see. I was shocked by the fact how one of my fairy tales have been shown in it. The attempt to add something new did only worse and made a bad influence upon the entire plot. There were not many bright pictures, and the main hero didn’t look very “fresh”, not to mention the prince, he was old and not very cute! I got the impression that they wanted to film something, but had no idea what they wanted to film , that is why the chosen a crap scenario. i felt sorry for the time i spent at the cinema away from my child, as well as i felt sorry for the money that i spent on the tickets to it. The cartoon was so interesting, i watched it thousands of times, while this movie is a total failure and disappointment, at least for me! Of course there are a lot of “empty” movies during which you can rest at least, but this is not one of them!

I went to see this movie at the cinema with my friends as soon as it was released and i never regretted about it. That is why i decided to write my review as i am outraged by the fact that there are mostly bad reviews about it. It really is a fairy tale, which is made in modern style with a variety of special effects and some unusual animals and stone people as well as the forest fairy. Some moments of the movie were scary, some of them were even a bit erotic.So generally speaking it was interesting for me to watch this movie all the time, and i didn’t even noticed how the time has passed by and i saw the end of it. I cannot say that the Beauty was really that stunning, but she really looked like a princess.
The Beast was a beast in all the meanings of this word, both character and physical appearance. I liked the gothic look of the castle and wonderful dresses, i felt like i am a part of the fairy tale in some moments. This movie maybe doesn’t deserve an Oscar award but it definitely is one of my favorite ones now.

I really wanted to get on the first day of release of this movie at the cinema, and it is very good i didn’t do it, because if i would go i would obviously felt sorry about it afterwards. I watched it on my computer, and i can say that first reaction was disappointment, as i expected something interesting, tempting and enchanting from it. And it is still fresh in my memory the Disney cartoon “Beauty and the beast” which was always my favorite one. The first thing i didn’t like was the fact that the main heroes fell in love into each other from the first sight. A flame of interest has burned in the moment when the events began developing, and was opened the curtain of secret, and after that i could not understand how could the beast ever get to that condition. The brothers were also shown not in a very good light. It was not a family but gross. Actor who performed the beast was not good either, i think they could find someone younger and better looking. And in general i got all disappointed with this tale. Though if not comparing it to the cartoon than it can be quite interesting for children of the age 7-9.

She is another version of the classic story “The Beauty and the Beast”. It is far from the best variation I've seen, but it is surely worth your time. Major pluses are how beautiful the film is as well as a few changes to the classic known by anyone story. I appreciate how Belle's father really deserved to be punished, unlike classic scenario, where it was just mean and unfair punishing the old guy. The amount of extra story did not really impress me. With all the subplots and back story, so much of the romance between Belle and Beast is missing--and her falling for him seems to make far less sense. Plus too many hug creatures! I prefer a simpler version; call me a romantic, but a bit less would have delivered so much more.

It's true that a bit of the film's impact has been diluted by its significant influence both within its genre and without; but the original is still a special thing, a beautiful hallucination.

This movie is such a visual pleasure that I gave up worrying about ideological considerations and just embraced its beautiful and influential dreamlike imagery.
