What is the movie Labor Day about?
Henry Wheeler is the center character of the movie. He is a 13-year-old boy who does his best to be a man of his house and support his depressive single mother. He tries to take care of his reclusive mother Adele, and in the meantime confronts all the difficulties any adolescence brings. Henry and Adele go on a little shopping trip, and on their way back they encounter Frank Chambers. This man clearly needs some help: he’s hurt and wounded. At the same time he’s really intimidating, but somehow he manages to convince them to take him into their house and give a hand. In the meantime police is searching for some runaway murderer and looking through the whole city. At this point Adele realizes that she gave shelter to a criminal and she doesn’t know what to do. She is afraid of what he might do to her and her son. All of this happens on Labor Day – the events of this weekend will significantly affect the lives of Henry and Adele. All in all, it is a deeply touching story of a true love and unexpected ways we can find it.

Labor day is one of my favorite movies as it is romantic from one side, and from the other side it is a movie about life. He runs away from prison's hospital while being operated. During his escape he meets te wonderful Kate Winslet and her son, and he is healing her wounds. Of course as it is a real movie, and not a soapy fairy tale, he goes back to jail eventually. But still all those years he kept thinking about Adel, and the first thing he does after his prison time was over is going to meet her. I loved this movie, it reminded me about another movie with Jean Claude Van Damme, where he is helping a single mother to fight with people who want to steal her house away from her, even though she is obeying and doesn't want to sell it. This is a real movie, a worthy one, i wish there were more movies of this kind and not the crap ones which i am used to watch all the time lately, unfortunately.

It is a fantastic movie, with actors who made up a fantastic performance, i can say that i almost physically felt that those five happy days were like months of happiness, such long and at the same time short term, as life itself is. This movie has showed me that people often hang layouts on people, that they are surrounding themselves with a wall, and no one is thinking that there are accidents, or cases in life which are bringing people to abyss, because sometimes a killer is acting more decent, than the person with who you lived many years in a row and who you trusted with your all soul and tried creating family with. Undoubtedly the main character and the "killer" have went through many things in their life in order to earn many years of crazy happiness, but that fact that he was able to gather her as a broken vase into one piece, and made her love life again has justified him in my eyes and in my ideal world, that is why i think that in my ideal world he should be forgiven for everything that he has done in his past, for this life that he saved. He has influenced greatly even upon her son, which influenced his interests and his life in the future.

It is a very inspiring movie for me, movie about eternal love which is able to pass through many years, about the worries and life situations which are changing people. I can that the description of this movie is not very right, probably it was written by a person who didn't watched it. This movie is telling that each person who enters into our life is bringing something new into it, each person is changing us while appearing in our life, into a better or worse. We have to be with people who are making us better, who are supporting us and are taking care of us, we should not be safe about people who left because they chosen tranquility in the moment when we needed them most of all. I enjoyed this movie as it made me think about the things that are really important in this life, not about the substitutes, but about the really important things. I can proudly say, that i reconsidered my entire life, and made some significant changes in my way of thinking.

If you have even the tiniest cynical bone in your body, avoid. You'll find Labor Day more sugary than a cronut.

A great movie about real live and a woman, who really knows how to love no matter what. I like Kate Winslet in her later acting carrier. She is much better artistically form what she used to portray in “Titanic”. Then she was very young and inexperienced to me, but still a great job. These days, she is just perfect. I am about to fall in love!
