What is the movie Larry Crowne about?
Before being fired, affable and courteous Larry Crowne (Tom Hanks) was a successful command leader in a huge company, where he was working after his naval service. He was working well, but was fired due to the lack of college education. Under the weight of a house mortgage and not knowing what to do with his too much spare time, divorced and lonely Larry enrolls in the local college to start his life with the blank page. At the college, being surrounded by the same losers he unexpectedly comes to conclusion that when there are grounds to think life has stopped – a reason to live appears. There, at the college, Larry meets his true love, Mercedes (Julia Roberts), whose marriage turned to be unhappy.
