Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is an amazing story that comes to us from the mind of Daniel Handler, who was the one to write the original book. Robert Gordon was the one to adapt this novel into the screenplay and Brad Silberling was the man behind the camera, the director and he made it all possible. The story revolves around three young and really smart kids- Violet (Emily Browning), brother Klaus (Liam Aiken) and their sister Sunny Beaudelaire (Kara & Shelby Hoffman). As they wake up one morning, they receive a really bad news saying that their parents have died in a fire. The house was burnt to the ground and they have lost almost everything. All they have left now is each other. As the social service comes for them, to get them settled somewhere, three of young kids are informed that one of their distant relatives, count Olaf (Jim Carrey), is eager to meet them and even adopt them. Three of them are pretty suspicious from the moment they see him, and instantly dislike him. What they soon discover is that he is more interested in their parents fortune that awaits for him if he manages to adopt them. They try to tell the social workers everything, but no one listens, because they are kids. So, they must find the way on their own to get out of his hands.
