What is the movie Life of Pi about?
“Life of Pi” presents a film adaptation of the fantasy adventure homonymous novel by Yann Martel. The story revolves around a young man, Pi Patel, a zookeeper’s son; whose knowledge about animals and their behavior is encyclopedic. At the age of sixteen, together with his family, Pi Patel is moving to North America form his native India. They travel on a freighter with their zoo animals. The cargo ship sinks. Pi Patel is the only one, who survived in a lifeboat afloat in the waters of Pacific Ocean. He shares lifeboat with an orangutan, a hyena, an injured zebra, and a Bengal tiger, nicknamed Richard Parker, who is always hungry. The movie represents a tale of survival, hope and faith…
