Award winning Daryl Wein wrote a comedy with a help from Zoe Lister Jones and directed touching comedy with discrete critique and inspiring messages. These days women have to deal with much more things than before. They feel pressure to be independent, strong, always better than the rest. They also have to be accomplished persons. Minding of all these norms is subjected to changes in relation with age. This means that a woman at age of thirty should have a decent working experience and she must not be single. Movie Lola Versus follows Lola who got dumped by partner 30 days before the wedding. Left in situation that few people experienced Lola doesn’t know how to face with all emotions that are overwhelming her at once. Disappointed, betrayed, left alone and unprepared to deal with life as a single woman, Lola starts forcing things that give her current comfort. She starts exploring life once again and while doing this, she puts herself in various funny situations. She is rediscovering sex with strangers, excessive drinking and overeating whenever she has the chance. Because she forgot how to do these things everything has a comic outcome. With couple of funny situations in a row, Lola begins to think that she is alone against sex, love and herself.
