Have you ever wanted to get out of your own skin and go somewhere else? Now, imagine you are an animal living in a zoo. There is no better place than going home. But, for these animals, that seems like the worst idea ever. Meet an amazing quartet of friends- Marty (Chris Rock), who is a zebra, Alex (Ben Stiller), the lion, Melman (David Schwimmer) who is a giraffe, and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith)- a female hippo. They are an unusual quartet of friends, indeed, and they all live in a zoo. On his birthday, three of them surprised Marty with a cake and a birthday song. When he was to make a wish, he wished to go to Africa, a place that he always considered home. Somehow, you'll see his wish come true and they do end up in a remote island called Madagascar. But, home isn't what they thought it would be. It is a lot different from what they are accustomed to, because they all have to catch their food, and that is no easy task. There is more than enough hilarious situations these friends get themselves into, but that isn't all. Add to the mix four crazy penguins who started it all and are also there, and there you have it- a perfect comedy for all ages.
