What is the movie Manborg about?
When we hear about a dystopian story we usually imagine a frightening and disturbed society, absolute dehumanization, totalitarian regime and environmental disasters. Described in two words it is a cataclysmic decline in society. But you would never expect that society to be that disturbed and have various demos and monsters instead of actual people. That’s the dystopian future of “Manborg” – all sorts of creepy and disgusting creatures have almost terminated the human race and there are very few people fighting for their lost freedom. The main character once was a soldier, but he was killed and eventually brought back as a cyborg. Now his main purpose is to help his new friends – a band of adventurers – and kill as many demos as he can. All in all the movie is a fun mishmash of Mortal Kimbat, Robocop, Star Wars, Sin City, Army of Darkness and some other movies of this kind. Hordes of demos are destroying the remaining human reservations and our heroes are doing their best to prevent it happen.

I noticed that lately are very popular movies of the fantasy genre, especially the ones made by marvel studio. i don’t understand where it is coming from, as it is pretty clear to me those movies do not have any sense. The only thing i like about comics and superheroes is that there is always a firm position that good things are fighting the bad ones in order to help people. I think it is very important to keep in mind the importance of bringing the good message to the society. I am not sure whether it will help a lot or not, but i do want to hope so. I am sad with the fact that people stopped caring about each other and it is easier to turn their back upon each other than to make one or even more steps in order to correct the situation and make the things better! I guess this is the most important thing, piece in the Universe, all the other problems can be solved easily and there is no need in great intelligence in order to realize that.

I saw this movie only because i was almost forced to do so, my boyfriend loves this kind of stuff. I can say that i was shocked by the stupidity of the movie. First of all the person killed by hell demons comes back on the Earth in order to kill nazy vampires, how sick should a person be in order to write this kind of scenario?! And how sick are supposed to be the other people who worked upon it?! I can easily say that it is the worst movie i have ever seen in my entire life. Maybe if the special effects were at least not bad, i won’t even say good, as it will be too much for this movie, at least not bad it would be at least not that gross to watch this movie, but unfortunately, the quality of the movie sucks, as well as the main character and his performing skills. Gosh if making a movie why not making it a qualitative one, better not starting with it as well, than filming it on the basis of “what if” ?!

The film is massively cheap, outrageous, and features a lot of overacting but it's also incredibly amusing with ridiculous gore and animation. It's like an homage to your childhood that you can't help but love and hate at the same time.
