This event managed to destroy lives of many people and it made very few richer than before. J.C. Chandor wrote the story and directed a movie by it, that presents thoughts and actions of high ranking people in the investment bank during the crisis. Story is based on real events and most part of it is historically accurate. Actors Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto and Paul Bettany played their characters very convincing which emphases gravity of the situation. Leading people of the bank are faced with moral dilemma. Discovery that they are selling something, that doesn’t have value, will make their relations change. Their opinions and sense for consequence are different and these causes many situations that audience probably didn’t expect to see in high ranked bank staff. “There are only three ways to make a living in this business. Be first, be smarter or cheat.” That sentence defines what it takes to survive in banking world. It is interesting to see main characters how they observe average people, that have no clue about what is about to happen.
