As the title itself says, this film deals with a cute girl called Matilda. The story comes from a brilliant mind of Roald Dahl, who wrote a book, on which is the entire film based. It was then adapted to a screenplay by Robin Swicord and Nicholas Kazan, in order to be directed by one of the best actors ever- Danny DeVito . With his experience in front of the camera Danny DeVito surely knew what he was doing even before he took the place behind the camera. It starts off with a cute 6 year old girl named Matilda, who has the most obnoxious parents ever. They are grouchy and don't pay much attention to her, because they have also an older son. And Matilda is just a kid girl. Unlike kids of her age, Matilda is pretty smart and she likes reading books. After she is old enough to go to school, her parents send her to a local school. It turns out that the principal there is even worse than her parents. As Matilda is trapped between her parent's and her principal's cruelty, she develops telekinetic abilities. Bit by bit, she practises her skills and manages to get full control over them as well. As now she has an ace up her sleeve, Matilda is not afraid to put the principal as well as her parents to their places.
