Movie Memorial Day is a quality action drama brought to us by director Samuel Fischer. Throughout the movie you won't even notice 104 minutes as they go by, showing you pieces from the past, present and the future of two generations. It all starts in 1993, when a young boy Kyle Vogel discovers a dusty old trunk full of amazing things that belong to his grandfather, Bud. At first, he tells Kyle to put the trunk back where it belongs, but, young boy is persistent to hear about every small thing that is inside- what that is, how did his grandfather get that, why does he keep it. So, Bud makes a deal with him. Kyle is allowed to choose three objects from the case and he will tell the stories that are revolving around them. During the talking, Bud realizes that those objects aren't there to make him remember everything that happened, but not to let him forget, unfortunately. Lots of years after that day we see Kyle as a grown man, fully prepared for combat in military equipment and in the middle of raging civil war. And so the history repeats itself and he remembers how much that day on the porch with his grandfather and the stories meant to him. With Jackson Bond as young Kyle, Jonathan Bennett as grown Kyle, and James Cromwell as Bud, his granddad, this movie was a success.
