Talented Rob Grant is proven artist. He won award for best director on Magnolia Independent Film Festival, and two prizes on Polly Grind Underground Film Festival of Las Vegas. He has credits in editing The Package (first assistant editor), The Cabin in The Woods (editorial production assistant), The A-Team. His story with mix of crime and comedy is going to use him as screenplay. Rob decides to direct movie Mon Ami in Canada. Plot is relatively simple. Two good friends decide to make big amount of money and fast. From all possible ideas they choose to do criminal activity. Not small robberies and such thing but kidnapping. Target of choice is their boss. In world of crime two naive friends are babies. They probably couldn’t kidnap a pet from someone’s home. Their incapability leads to series of funny events. Things are not going as they planed, and now starts struggle to take out the stains. Silly criminal tandem has to work hard in order to avoid consequences. There is left to see how strong their friendship is. With extremely low budget Rob Grant managed to make enjoyable movie. Mon Ami is easy to watch with any company. With credits that Rob has and knowing how low was budget this film is worth watching.
