The directors are Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones and there are many writers, while Graham Chapman is one of the most notable ones. In the beginning of the movie, we see Arthur, played by Graham Chapman who is the King of the Britons. He is looking for knights who are going to sit with him at Camelot. Sir Galahad the pure is one of the knights that he has found, there are also Sir Lancelot the brave, the quiet Sir Bedevere, Sir Robin the Not Quite So Brave As Sir Lancelot. They don't really have horses but in Monty Python and the Holy Grail they pretend that they do. There are lots of historical events that are mentioned in the movie and it is one of the great ways to follow the story even closer. There is no doubt that there is plenty of room for comical situations in Monty Python and the Holy Grail and the level of acting in it is just phenomenal. That is only one of the reasons why it is one of the best movies of all time, comedy wise.
