In the time when there were no mobile phones or internet, there still was lots of ways for someone to run away and get found as well. The year in this movie plot is 1965. It is the year when two kids made the whole North Eastern community really terrified when they ran away. Those two kids were Sam and Suzy. Sam (Jared Gilman) was a kid scout and Suzy (Kara Hayward) was an older daughter and they rarely paid any attention to her any more. So, the two of them decided to go on an adventure together and simply disappear for real. First we see the scouting camp and their leader, Master Ward (Edward Norton), who notices that someone's missing during the lunch time. After checking, he heads out to Sam's tent, only to find out he's gone. On the other hand there are Suzy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop (Bill Murray and Frances McDormand), who don't pay attention to much and find themselves confused and in panic mode after they realize their daughter is gone. The whole investigation is led by Captain Sharp (Bruce Willis), who seems to be doing his job well. But, these two kids are living their lives until they get caught. As the time goes by, we get to see Sam and Suzy slowly falling in love for the first time and how they both get overwhelmed by the feelings they aren't certain they even have.
