“Mr. Popper's Penguins" is a stupefying dumb family film that centers on the idea that penguins have limited charisma as pets. What they really do? They sit on eggs, they waddle, they eat fish and they squawk. Still, sometimes they might snap at you. The entire idea of living in your home with penguins is more delightful than the experience itself. Penguins look cute, though unnatural and it is worthwhile mentioning it is not an animated movie. It is a nice film where kids can imagine being friends with penguins. The problem with a movie is that they take on an actual presence that gets old real fast.

It’s a family movie, nothing special. I agree with the previous comment, as it really is pretty much same as Ace Ventura, same crazy story, same crazy Jim Carrey and same story with animals, only this time we talk about penguins. But still I can say that the story is very easy and positive, so it is worth being seen, especially if with children, as it brings them the message that they should love animals and be patient towards each other, though the message is being “delivered” not only to small children, but to their parents as well.

I would highly recommend this movie for family vision, and even though I am thirty six years old already, I can say that I fell in love with the movie, as well as Jim Carrey performance in it! For me it is like the continuous story of Ace Ventura, as Jim never got out of that image everybody loves so much. I think there wouldn’t be any other actor who would be that perfect for the movie as Jim is, and I totally respect him for his talent. I would probably never date such a man in my life, but I would totally be in love with sense of humor. I feel sorry for the fact that I never had such movies when I was small, it taught me kindness and it made me wish going to see penguins in San Diego’s “Sea World”, by the way, this place is to die for!

I loved this movie! Most of all due to the fact that it is so easy to watch it, and I guess only a cynic person cannot like it. My kids were jumping as high as they could as soon as I was there watch it with them. For some reason I noticed they watch movies with much more pleasure, if I am being there with them. I like the simple story; I guess it is a perfect movie to watch with entire family as it shows how much we are supposed to cherish the family, as there is nothing more important than that. And I fall in love with the café in the park, I am wondering does it really exist, or it only the scenario, as if it exists, than next time I will visit this marvelous city I will certainly drink coffee there. The most important thing for me is that this movie brought me a variety of positive emotions, what can be better than that?
