Tom Stansfield (Ashton Kutcher) is another regular worker in a big publishing company. He is really looking forward to getting his hands on the position that will allow him to work in a Creation Department, but with his boss, who is a tough cookie, Jack Taylor (Terence Stamp), that seems like mission impossible. He also has dreams of dating his daughter, Lisa Taylor (Tara Reid), who is cute and smart and attractive. As his boss is to fly off to Singapore on business trip, Lisa is left in charge of the house. So, she invites Tom over. With the misunderstanding that occurs in this situation, Tom expects to finally get a chance to get closer to her and even see if she likes him that way. But, he is to get a cold shower as he comes at the house and finds his boss Jack there. It turns out that Lisa is off to a party and he is to housesit while his boss is in Singapore. After giving him the detailed instructions on how to take care of their pet owl, as well as giving it some medications, Tom is left in charge of the house. Also, he gets to encounter the whole bunch of people who are going to stop by, make a total mess out of the house and get him into more trouble than he knew existed.
