We all dream of going from zero to hero in one night and being famous. That is the dream that also shares young priest Nacho (Jack Black), which finds himself in a remote Mexican village. He is a cook at the church and is already tired of serving the same things to the same boys every damn day of his life. He craves for fame and being recognized everywhere he goes. So, one day he decides that he will be a superhero and save the innocent. As one of the priestess Sister Encarnación (Ana del la Regura) comes to their monastery, Nacho is more than eager to win her heart over. And the only way to do that, from his point of view, is to win at the contest of Mexican wrestlers- luchadors. But, he gets supported by no one in his noble mission. As the audience starts thinking that nothing is going right, he gets to team up with one of his friends, Esquelto (Héctor Jiménez), he gets involved in the whole world of wrestling in Mexico. Surprisingly, he turns out to be more than good and is really winning over the crowd and maybe the heart of the one he dreams of. Will he be successful in his mission? This movie presents all situations with a great comical flavour and it is pretty enjoyable for watching, especially with the Jack Black in the main role.
