Vampire movies are awesome, at least most of them are, and this one falls in the category of those which kick ass. Only Lovers Left Alive tells a tale of a depressed musician named Adam who lives in an old house in the middle of run-down derelict buildings. He is all alone with his musical instruments and his books and he is also a vampire. Adam has a friend who provides him with rare instruments and he poses as Dr. Faust while buying blood bags from a nearby hospital. Adam has a wife, Eve, who lives in Morocco and is a vampire just like he is. She feels that Adam is feeling down and depressed and flies down to Detroit to meet him. Eve and Adam get together and spend the nights loving one another, but suddenly, Ava, Eve's sister appears and influences their life greatly. Everyone who loves vampire movies will surely enjoy watching this one, it has a rock n roll vibe to it and is definitely enticing to watch. Music in the movie is excellent, every generation will feel at home while listening to the tunes in the movie. Only Lovers Left Alive is an interesting take on the whole vampire genre and it performs quite nicely. Movie well worth watching by anyone with a slightest hint of interest for the vampires.
