From the director and writer Robert Cavanah comes a masterpiece called Pimp. This movie is a hardcore British thriller that will keep you glued to your seats for as long as it lasts. Robert is also playing one of the leading roles, a Soho pimp called Woody. With hunger for attention, he makes a deal with a filmmaker, who wants to get a chance to take a peek into his life and record it, and allows his camera guys to follow him for a week. As the recession is coming to each town, that is firstly to be spotted in his business- the business with the ladies. There aren't much customers any more, which is a major setback for Woody. He manages girls and his boss manages him. So, if there are no clients, Woody is the first on the line for getting canned. His boss (Danny Dyer) doesn't actually care neither for girls nor for their clients (and if they have any). He is only interested in cash. At one point, in all this chaos, a local Chinese guy and one of the girls that earn the most, Petra (Barbara Nedeljakova) are in conflict as she goes missing. Also, there is someone who keeps sending tapes to Woody, with one of his girls on them, as she's being raped and brutally tortured. With Billy Boyd, Robert Fucilla, Scarlett Alice Johnson, Gemma Chen, Susi Amy and Corey Johnson in their acting crew, this movie is a total hit.
