Have you ever heard of The Barden Bellas? They are an amazing female a cappella choir at Barton University. Their voices are really unique and they are one of the best groups. Except, they didn't win the first place last time on the competition. Why is that you might ask? Well, they do have a tough competition. As they start a new semester at college, they recruit new singing talents. Amongst them is the cute DJ girl Beca, who is a freshmen at the Barton University. Together, they work on their way to win the next championship while they have male a cappella group as they rivals in the next round. If you are into musicals like "High School Musical" and similar movies, you'll adore this one. Performance given by Anna Kendrick, who plays the role of main female character, Beca, is outstanding and really portrays teenage girls during their first days at college. Also, her fellow co-actors, Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson and lots of others have shown their singing as well as their acting talents during this 112 minute comedy. This hilarious piece was directed by Jason Moore and written by Kay Cannon, based on Mickey Rapkin's book.
