If you love games and you like movies that are based on games, this one will thrill you, for sure. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was done based on more than one sequel of this game. The game was originally created by Jordan Mechner, which was later adapted into a screenplay by Carlo Bernard, Doug Miro and Boaz Yakin. The movie was directed by Mike Newell. The movie begins as the viewers get to know who the current ruler of Persia is and what is going on. After a coincident on a market, the ruler decides to adopt a boy called Dastan, who is an orphan, in order to calm things down with his two sons. His goal was to have someone they can compete with (in a way) instead competing with each other. Years later, they are all grown up and Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) seems to be the most skilful and reasonable of three of them. They are about to attack the city called Alamut and force princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to marry the oldest brother. What they don't know is just how special she is and how special the whole town is- and that is the dagger they possess. With everyone wanting to get their hands on it, Dastan and princess find themselves on a crazy adventure that takes them on a soul searching journey.
