What is the movie Psycho about?
What an old movie, some would say. Psycho was released in 1960 and it is one of the most popular Alfred Hitchcock movies. It is a horror, mystery, thriller all in one. It is about a secretary from Phoenix who has decided to steal 40 thousand dollars and run away. She hides in a motel, only to find that a young boy runs it and he is dominated by his mother. This is when the story unfolds. While taking a shower after a long day, Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) noticed that something is wrong. She is just another girl ready to get married but the man she loves Sam Loomis needs to give a lot of money for the alimony and that is why they can't get married. Anthony Perkins is Norman Bates and he is one of the main characters in this movie, Vera Miles is Lila Crane, John Gavin plays Sam Loomis, Janet Leigh plays Marion Crane... For those of you who are into horror movies, Psycho is perfect since it is a compilation of a good scenario, great acting and a lot of scary situations in which you get to see beautiful Janet Leigh. Many will still say that this is one of the top rated horror movies ever made and we cannot do anything else but to agree.

Psycho is not a long film but it feels long. Perhaps because the director dawdles over technical effects; perhaps because it is difficult, if not impossible, to care about any of the characters.
