Based on true story, movie Puncture reveals how far are medical suppliers willing to go in order to keep their profit. One of main question in this movie is how much money is a human life worth. Real life people Weise and Danziger gave their blessing for screening their story. Paul Danziger actually participated in writing story with Ela Thier, while Chris Lopata wrote everything. Brothers Adam and Mark Kassen directed the movie. Mark also took one of main role for himself. He plays Paul Danziger. Story is about ruthless greed, that drives some people to be successful and how that same greed later destroys many great things. In Puncture, one of those great things is a new patented retractable needle that could save medical stuff from infecting with AIDS and such infections. Nurse Vicky Rogers got infected by contaminated needle during incident with a violent patient. With new retractable needle designed by engineer Jeffry Matthew Dancort, Vicky seeks help from Paul Danziger and Mike Weiss. Problem is that Jeffry, who invented the needle and owns Safety Point Company, can’t sell his product to any hospital. Problem is United Medical Group. Two idealistic lawyers will start the battle with much stronger opponent caring only for the right thing, not for the win or profit. Mike Weiss is also addicted to drugs and has fight with his addiction during this lawsuit. Chris Evans did an impressive job acting unusual, strange tattooed and idealistic lawyer Mike. Fact that movie is based on real story and very accurate, gives another dimension to it.
