There are so many great things about movie Quartet. Director is well known Dusting Hoffman. Story and screenplay is written by Ronald Harwood. Because of nature of the story all actors are senior citizens. With many movies behind them and great experience those stars will push each other to give one of their best performances. Jean Horton, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and legendary Michael Gambon are the ones who will give life to leading characters. Story is about four retired opera performers. Three of them are already in house for elders and the fourth is about join them. After an amazing welcoming thrilled old lady sees her ex and immediately she experiences cold shower. Even if she's moving in, his heart will still be broken. Love is unrelenting force and it doesn’t age. Quartet is at same time drama that revolves around love and old people and at the same time a comedy that revolves around same things. There is nice message that no one should ever give up on life. It doesn’t matter what is your age there are many things to enjoy and many good people to meet. This particular home is dedicated for retired musicians. They face all complications that age is bringing to them with dignity. Beauty of movie Quartet lies that, it is filmed in a specific way that audience of all ages can watch it.
