Singing after losing someone is a hard thing to do. A lot of strength is needed in order to overcome the sorrow and the grief that overcomes you whenever you think of someone you lost. This movie describes how it's like for a young girl called Terri (Hilary Duff), who lost her brother. After he died in a car crash, Terri had just stopped singing. To make things worse, her brother secretly sent a video of her as an audition piece to one of the best music schools, and now she finds out that she is accepted. Her father is totally against it, but her mother has other plans. Since she had lost her one kid, she doesn't plan on losing the other as well. And somehow Terri gets through the whole thing with lots of emotions, dealing with her thoughts and feelings while rushing from one class to another, trying to stay focused. But what makes a really big problem for her is that she has a stage fright. At the end of the school year there is a performance to be held, a competition for the best student and if she can win it, she can have a scholarship as well. Will she get pass her grief and her blockage and get the scholarship?
