What is the movie Real Steel about?
The story of the “Real Steel” movie takes place in the close future. The sport has developed so much. One of the popular sports is high-tech boxing with robots as participants on a boxing ring. The narration focuses on a washed-up fighter, Charlie Kenton (acted by Hugh Jackman), who was very close to get a champion title when steel robots took the place of people on a ring. Now Charlie works as a promoter, who takes away the remains of the low-end robots, getting from one boxing venue to another. The situation changes when he decides to make a champion out of a discarded robot. At the same moment he also finds out he has a son, named Max, an eleven-year-old boy, who wants to get to know his father. So Charlie teams up with his son to win on the brutal arena against all the odds…
