How to Treat a Celebrity You're Dating

What is the movie Runaway Bride about?
Being a top reporter isn't an easy task to do. You must always find the hot story to write about, or at least make it look as a hot story. Ike Graham (Richard Gere) is one of the column writers for a newspaper. He is also always on the deadline with finding the news and something interesting to write about. One more problem with his writing is, that he is always focused on the opposite sex. As he is late with his story, as always, he gets a tip from a guy in the bar he usually hangs out in, about a girl who is called a "runaway bride". Without much investigation, he writes a gruesome story about her and goes on. But, what he didn't expect is, that the girl is Maggie Carpenter (Julia Roberts) and that she had read his story, as well as complained about lots of inaccuracies in it to his redaction. After finding out that, the redaction fires Ike and he is nothing else to do, except to investigate the case and get himself back in the game. So, Ike heads out to Hale, Maryland in order to get the truth from Maggie about everything that happens. When she first sees him, she refuses to talk about anything, and from her point of view, why should she? So, the game of cat and mouse begins for these two. The best part is, Ike finds out that she is again engaged to be married. Will she run away again?
