If you are looking for a comedy that will brighten up your day and make you not being able to breath from all the laughing you're having, than this is the movie you should get your hands on immediately. It was released back in 1998, but it wasn't outdone, not even today. The original story for the whole thing comes from the brilliant mind of Ross LaManna, who was the writer, then Jim Kouf did the adaptation and made a screenplay out of it, only to be finally directed by Brett Ratner. This film reveals around a very unusual cop, Carter (Chris Tucker), who is used to working alone, and who suddenly gets a partner from another country (Jackie Chan). It all starts with getting to know who Carter is and how he dies his work. He is an amazing cop, but loves his job a bit too much and always manages to destroy everything while making an arrest. After he messes up a kidnapping case, he gets a partner from another country. Lee (Jackie Chan) is there as a guard for the Chinese ambassador. Since he is also a close friend, ambassador is putting him to the case as well. Since these two cops have nothing in common but their case, there is where all the fun begins. As they have different point of views, they always manage to find themselves in all sorts of comical situations.
