If you are in the mood for a good crime film to watch, Smoke Screen is one of the best ones. In the centre of the story is a young blonde reporter Britt Shelley. One morning she wakes up by her lover and soon after that she realizes that he is dead. This puts her in the middle of the investigation, and the worst part is, she doesn't remember a thing from the night before. As she speaks to the police, she tells them about Jay (Martin Cummins), a guy who was involved in the reportage she did. He was the guy who wanted to speak to her no matter what. Of course, she met him in a restaurant, but after that, she doesn't remember a thing. She starts suspecting that she was planted a rape drug. On the other hand, there is a fire fighter Raley (Currie Graham), who let go after she did that article on the fire incident and that ruined his career. So, he kidnapped Britt and tells her that the same thing happened to them. After getting out of the bar, he woke up with a woman in his bed, but a dead one. So, the two of them start their own investigation in order to find out what happened to them.
