From Lorene Scafaria comes a hilarious comedy piece called Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. The plot is based on an assumption that the end of the world is near and how do people react to that situation. In the focus of the story are two characters. One is a middle-aged man called Dodge (Steve Carrell), who gets left by his wife literally screaming, after they hear on the radio in the car that they all have three more weeks before asteroid called Matilda crashes collides with Earth and destroys everything. The other person is his neighbour Penny (Keira Knightley), who suddenly finds out that she won't be able to see her family in England for one last time. So, as the break outs start happening and streets aren't as safe as before, because everyone is doing what they always wanted no matter the consequences, and they drive to England. Along the way, they get to know each other better, they bond and become amazing friends and a bit more. They get through all of those adventures and get to her family. This hour and a half movie with lots of funny elements will make you laugh from the bottom of your hearts and you won't be able to get your eyes off of the screen for the whole time, while the movie lasts.
