When teenagers get into crisis and can't seem to get out of their problems, they need some kind of a support in their lives. In is case, Grace, who is played by young and talented Brie Larson, is working at a foster care place for troubled teenagers. She does her best to keep them out of getting into trouble, reaching out to them and simply talking to them, hearing what they have to say. And it's not always that easy to listen to your own advices. The truth is that Grace is pretty scared when it comes to letting someone into her life, loving her and she loving back, feeling vulnerable. She must face the fact that she's trying to get pregnant as well as the situation that her father is getting out of prison after along time. Her boyfriend and husband to be, Mason, tires to be there for her, as she is for those kids every day. As she's getting ready for the life together with him, she gets all freaked out and starts making poor decisions that will permanently affect her private and personal life as well. Lots of critics have said and written that Brie Larson was an unexpected talent they had discovered all of the sudden, and that the movie was as equally good and surprising. This 2013 drama provides just enough of tension and emotional roller coaster during it's 96 minutes.
