What is the movie Sightseers about?
We got used to black English humour. This goes to the next level when friends write story together knowing that they are going to act main roles. Alice Lowe and Steve Oram wrote story for them with intention to have lot of fun while acting their characters. “Sightseers“ are about relations between couple. Tina (Alice Lowe) and Chris (Steve Oram) love each other and enjoy making each other happy. To make Tina happy Chris takes for caravan trip to Yorkshire. Story starts developing and the couple seems to enjoy sightseeing. Than suddenly Chris gets irritated by a stranger who tried force them to clean after their dog. That made him to loose his mind. Angrily, he took branch and hit the stranger couple of times. While raging, Steve lets go of his frustration and smashes strangers head on the rock. He killed the man while his Tina watched entire event like some minor thing. From that point it is clear that Tina and Chris are psychotic couple that enjoys in sightseeing and has all problems that average couple has. The only difference is that they leave copses at every place they visit. In this movie murder is funny and dialogues follow killings are cherry on top of the cream. “Sightseers” are not filmed for wide audience. It has its place in British comedy about crime and relations between lovers. If you love caravan travelling and sightseeing, you should consider this film.
