“Snowpiercer” is set in future (approximately 20 years from now). It’s been 17 years since a man-caused catastrophe struck the Earth. Forests, fields and orchards have disappeared, now there’s only snow lying. There are no people around because it’s too cold to survive. People live in a giant train called Snowpiercer that rushes continuously over transeuropean railway. All the people in the carriages are divided according to their social status – elite lives in the first carriages, while the last ones are inhabited by ordinary people. Life in the rear end of that train reminds concentration camps – illnesses, poverty and outrageous supervisors. However that’s the place where out of the humiliated and desperate people rises a hero, who aims to restore justice. Unfortunately every noble idea has a dark side, and every revolution devours its participants. It is a great movie that shows how people act in critical situations, how their characters evolve and they reveal their true colours.
