What is the movie Star Wars about?
We have all loved to see what Luke Skywalker is going to do in order to win the intergalactic battle and beat the battle station that has one goal, to destroy the universe. He gets joined by a Jedi Knight, who is a pilot and these two fearless soldiers of the universe are more than ready to start doing what they do best. There is another task that they have to finish as soon as possible – saving Princess Leia. Their enemy is none other than Darth Vader. The director of the movie is George Lucas and we all know that when he is behind the camera, you can only expect to see a great movie. This one comes from 1977 and it still has very high ratings. Here are some of the actors that you will love to watch: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew... Luke is thinking only about one thing – to get out of this planet and join his friends, but that is not going to be the easiest mission in the world since his uncle needs him around in the time of the next harvest. In the meantime, we see the evil emperor taking over the galaxy and constructing Death Star, which is by the way capable of destroying entire planets...

The film turn on the endlessly renewed battle between good and evil, the former represented by the Jedi knights and the mystical Force which they are in touch with, and the latter by the Galactic Empire with its Nazi-like storm-troopers…

In respect to the many kids of the seventies. I rated this movie as one of the greatest movies ever made. I was thirteen and enjoyed this fantasy getaway more than I could count. Like many other kids of the seventies you left reality before walking into the theatre and escaped into the adventure once the reels begin rolling. It provided the special effects and excitement a kid was looking for. Even today when I watch this movie on VHS I recall those times. Whenever I get the chance to watch it I feel like that eager thirteen year old over and over again. I hope the new movies will meet the same expectations of kids of this decade and the next.

It's not a bad movie, just heavily flawed. Its acting and dialogue can be cringe-worthy, but its high points still make it an enjoyable cinematic experience. It is overall a visually-dazzling film with a stunningly complex plot and heart-pounding action sequences.
