Year after they have discovered the Stargate and visited the first world, the members of the Naval Base will have to encounter their first enemy. After someone similar to the alien called Ra, who was worshipped in that foreign world, came through the gate, he managed to kill several soldiers and kidnap other ones. The team who was originally sent through the Gate was called in immediately for a meeting. With a belief that Dr. Jackson had died during the mission, and most of the crew also dead, they have made a new group called SG1. That is when is discovered that Dr. Jackson is still alive and well on that world. They get him and together, they set off on an adventure to save their people and see what that was all about and how Ra could still be alive, when they had destroyed both him and his pyramid space ship with a bomb. In the meantime, Sha're and Skaara get kidnapped by Goa'uld and turned into one of them as well, by getting their own symbiotes. So, now the team that consists of Dr. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), Colonel Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) and Captain Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) get to see what they can do to fix things.
