What is the movie Terri about?
The story of “Terri” centers on an overweight 15-year-old boy, who was abandoned by his parents and left to live with his uncle James, an ailing man, who needs more help from the boy’s side, than Terri needs his. Living in a small town, awkward, large and sensitive, Terri realizes with pain that the fate has put him in these circumstances and made an outsider in high school life. He would be happy to make friends at school and flirt with girls, but his confusion and outer and inner conflicts of adolescent life make him trapped in his own world. Yielded to his fame of an outcast, Terri is surprised to get the attention of high school vice principle, named Mr. Fitzgerald, who takes an interest in him. With the help of Mr. Fitzgerald, Terri befriends Chad, a loner, who hides his insecurities under the mask of a rebellion and a sexually precocious girl, Heather, who has become a prisoner of her own beauty. All three are so different, but the fact they all are outsiders, unites them and all three have to come through the adolescent experience…
