This was actually TV special for the year 2008. We can see every year Oscar prizes being awarded, but what separates this one from all other are actually the two guys who moved the hosting of this show to totally new level. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin are invited that year to host the show and make this event be something special with their clever remarks and jokes. They have actually did their job so well that rest of the entertainers were looked upon as a break so audience can take a breath while they are thinking of some new interesting fact that should be mentioned for the next section of the awarding. As you are progressing through the show, you will notice that some of the celebrities are actually having great fun while they are waiting to be invited to take their award. What was also special about this year, is that some of the directors and actors are first time awarded with such prize and that they were actually quite surprised that they have actually got it. Some of the award winners were Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron among all others. If we were to name them all here, what good is it then to watch this show with fantastic movie makers who are now being themselves.
