The Colony is a good horror movie directed and written by Jeff Renfroe, starring Kevin Zegers, Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton. The story is set in the future after global warming. The Earth is covered in ice and snow in a new Ice Age. The survivors now live in underground facilities dubbed Colonies. People from Colony 5 receive a distress signal and the leader of Colony 7 Briggs organizes an expedition with Sam and Graydon to investigate what could have happened to their friends. They walk for two days to reach the facility in which 50 people had lived, but they only find one survivor locked in a room. Soon enough they learn that a group of cannibals killed all of the colonists. Briggs and Sam manage to run away, but the deadly group hunts them down. Briggs sacrifices his life to help Sam return to Colony 7. When he arrives he is handcuffed and no one believes his story. Soon, the cannibals show up, and the group is forced to fight in order to survive. The movie is very fun to watch and there are plenty scary scenes which might make you scream. The movie is suspenseful and the pacing is excellent. There are no boring movies in this movie. The actors do a stellar job and make this movie well worth watching. If you enjoy horror movies with good actors, then give Colony a go.
