What is the movie The Descendants about?
Movie The Descendants is all about reconnecting and making up for the lost. It is a tasteful comedy drama, whose co-writer and director was Alexander Payne. At the beginning of the movie we gte to meet Matt King (George Clooney), who is a middle-aged man and a workaholic lawyer. He lives in Hawaii. After his wife gets injured in one of her thrill-seeking adventures, he gets to take care of their kids. This makes a total chaos in his head. Firstly, he has to deal with his wife being in a coma and that he might never speak with her again. And secondly, he must learn how to live his life in a totally different manner. Now, he needs to take care of his girls, who are preteen or teen, and that's something that no father is prepared to. There is young Scotti (newcomer Amara Miller), a 10 year old, who is pretty rebellious and cute. There is also Alexandra (Shailene Woodley), who is, at the time, in boarding school, and a wild child with mind of her own, but gets home to help her dad.. kind of. As Matt tries to survive the situation, he finds out that his wife was having an affair. And that's not an easy blow. According to various critics, this movie was a success and great. It is perfect for family gatherings or simple night in.
