For most of the people, looking great at all the times and no matter what it costs is the way of life. No one is allowed to see them in any other version. The question is, just how far would the people go in order to get their dream? And is that really your dream if you manage to lose everything else? Main character in this story is young and ambitious Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), who has just finished her journalism studies and is eager to work in the most famous newspaper in New York. Instead of that, she gets accepted as the second assistant in one of the most powerful fashion companies ever, with Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) as the head of it all. She is ruthless and merciless, and doesn't take any kind of no for an answer. As Andrea gets in the whole fashion world, she has a lot to learn about fashion, but as well as about her behaviour. The whole job starts affecting her private life, because the assistant of Miranda Presley can't have one, and must be available for anything 24-7. The result is that Andrea gets to see Paris and wear the most expensive clothes, shoes and have the best makeup ever, but also puts her long time relationship in danger and finally realizes that it isn't what she wants.
