The Devil's Advocate is one of the most outstanding movies ever to be made in the film making history. The story is based on the novel written by Andrew Neiderman. Tony Gilroy and Jonathan Lemkin did the film adaptation of that novel and Taylor Hackford directed the movie. It revolves around a young small town lawyer, Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves), who has a nice job and a nice wife Mary Ann Lomax (Charlize Theron). After showing success in each case he takes, someone from the big city starts taking interest in him. Things change as he gets an offer to work for a big lawyer company in a big city. Two of them move to New York, where they find a cute apartment. Since now Kevin works for a high end law company, they can afford some luxury. Who is his boss? John Milton (Al Pacino) is his boss as well as the founder and the head of company "Milton, Chadewick, Waters". This firm is making their clients happy all over the world. But, as Kevin gets a taste of being a hot shot and a big time lawyer, who can afford everything, he starts changing bit by bit. He gets estranged from his religious mother as well as from his loving wife, who start having psychical problems and in the end takes her own life. At one point, his priorities start changing and he realizes that he has it all, but also has nothing.
